A Rainy First Look at Washington Oaks & an Intimate Viva Ballroom Wedding
This wedding day began at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park with a quiet first look beneath the park's famous oak tree. A light rain was falling, so the couple embraced it with matching clear umbrellas, creating some genuinely beautiful and romantic portraits. After their first look, we explored the gardens for portraits of the couple before bringing their families together for family photos. The soft, overcast light and gentle rain gave the beginning of the day an intimate feel without taking away from the beauty of the gardens.
Viva Ballroom Ceremony
From Washington Oaks, we headed to Viva Ballroom in Palm Coast for the ceremony. The intimate, single-room venue is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing plenty of natural light into the space and making the room feel much larger than it is. The room was decorated with white linens and gold accents, with white flowers arranged around a simple round golden arch. Rather than traditional rows of ceremony seating, the couple chose to have their reception tables arranged around the arch, with their guests already seated at their tables as they watched the ceremony. It was a simple but personal setup that brought the ceremony and celebration together in one space — and made this intimate Palm Coast wedding feel completely their own. From Ceremony to Celebration
After the ceremony, there was no need to go anywhere else. Just steps away from where they had exchanged their vows, the couple shared their first dance and began the celebration with their closest friends and family. The ceremony space was quickly transformed into an intimate sweetheart table, where the newlyweds enjoyed dinner together and cut their wedding cake. Keeping everything in the same room made the evening feel relaxed and connected, with the celebration continuing naturally from the ceremony into the reception.
As the night went on, the formalities gave way to what weddings are really about — celebrating together. The evening ended with plenty of dancing, laughter, and time spent mingling with the people who came to celebrate with them.
